Tienshan's Multi-Form technique helped a lot in the battle with the Saiyan Elite. He and Chao-Tzu were lifelong friends, and also friends of Goku and Krillin. He trained with Krillin, Chao-Tzu, Yamcha, and Yajirobe on Kame's Lookout high above the Earth, learning the full power of the Multi-Form. He went all out against Nappa after Chao-Tzu went into the next dimension, but he joined Chao-Tzu after expending all his energy in one last attack. He trained at King Kai's after the battle.
